Drop-Off Chipping

Drop-Off Chipping Dates

Saturdays, 8am – 1pm

May 30  …  July 11  …  August 15  …  September 12

The C.R.E.W. is located at HELP of Ojai West Campus, 370 Baldwin Road, Ojai

There is no pre-registration for drop-off days.  Bring your secured green waste between 8am and 1pm, and C.R.E.W. staff will take care of the rest.  Please note that only eligible green waste that is not mixed with other materials will be accepted.

This program helps households remove large, woody fuels that increase the risk and impacts of wildfire.  Eligible materials include tree branches and trunks up to 6” in diameter.  Please note that you will not be able to take chips back home.  This is to prevent the spread of tree pests and disease.  If you would like to keep your chips, sign up for one of our curbside chipping days.

Materials that cannot be chipped: dirt, metal, nails, barbed wire, garbage, rocks, grass, leaves, vines, lumber, and soft vegetation such as cacti or vegetable plants.  (Leaf piles cannot be chipped, but branches with leaves are accepted.)
